DISCLAIMER: there’s guys are not reef safe at all. They require a species only tank. They will eat everything.

That being said they are awesome, to keep in a species only tank.

I actually have one in my reef tank and it grew from a tiny crab into a quite a monster, they resemble red emerald crabs and eventually lose their hair. Their body however is slightly wider than that of a regular emerald.

Mine occasionally trims my acros but not as destructive as I expected him to be so I let him be there. Anyways here are the little guys. This is a family of 4, (not really a family) but they lived together.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
