Hi there. I'm not too new to the hobby but new to reefing. I had a fish only 29g AIO system from 2000 to 2020. Got frustrated with it as it was an Algae nightmare for years and I didn't know what I didn't know. I gave it up when we were moving to a new home. Last year I got the bug to start a new system and found out there is a lot of assistance out there to help me succeed this time.
I have a 33g Red Sea AIO with plans for a second tank in the 100g range later this year. My tank is on the down side of the ugly stage and we've notice the first growth of Coraline Algae.
I have 2 clowns that seem to be thriving... I love feeding time, which I'm probably tending to do a bit too often. I also purchased 5 LPS corals which I have in a QT for 2.5 months. I unfortunately lost my most expensive purchase, a nice looking Fungia. Holding on to the stony remains as I understand it may produce new growth in the coming months. Fingers crossed, unless there are any pointers on how to increase the likelihood of producing new growth?
Looking forward to adding the viable 4 remains LPS to my DT in the next few weeks.
