Freshwater moray question

Gymnothorax polyuranodon

Is this species better in saltwater? Ive seen a lot of conflicting info on this topic. Mainly curious if I got one could it go full salt? My tank runs at 1.020 usually (fowlr, no corals or inverts)

Many moons ago I when I worked at a saltwater specialty store we would get these and keep them in our salt system and many customers kept them in full salinity. In fact from what I remember they did better in customers tanks that were at full salinity. 1.024 - 1.026

Was there any specific way you would acclimate them to salt?

They are born in saltwater and will only breed in saltwater. They can be kept in either salt or freshwater after their juvenile stage. I had mine in a brackish tank years ago, I kept it at 1.012. It was unable to be housed with any other fish very aggressive even larger fish were attacked usually at night.

Was there any specific way you would acclimate them to salt?

When we received them we drip acclimated them.
