This is just a curiosity question but are there any seahorses that are easily trained onto frozen foods and how big of a tank would i need for those species iv tried to look it up but the feeding answer has so many variables that i can’t get a straight answer

It depends on the seahorses. Dwearf seahorses only eat live. Larger seahorses like h. erectus, h. kuda, and h. reidi will eat frozen mysis. The trick is to buy captive bred and know where they came from so you can guarantee that they eat mysis. Tank size would also depend on the seahorses. I would go with at least a 30. A thirty would only house a pair of seahorses. Also, seahorses need cooler tanks so a chiller will most likely be needed.

I hear some horses take to LRS Reef Frenzy, too. Saw a couple happily do it in a video, too.

When I got my h.reidi, she would only eat ghost shrimp. I weaned her off and on to frozen mysis by just offering the mysis and stopping the ghost shrimp. She was happy in my 20 gallon refugium with low flow and lots of plants to grab on to. Good luck.

Ghost shrimp are a good transitional food.

If there is a frozen ghost shrimp, I've certainly never heard of it.
