I feed twice per day, I feed pellets and frozen food. My nitrates are higher than I’d like and trying to find a right feeding amount. I have 2 clowns, a goby, lawnmower blenny and a domino damsel.

What is a good feeding regimen? How much of the frozen food cube should I be putting in the tank? I strongly suspect I am over feeding - mostly because I am worried for my lawn mower as he doesn’t come out for feedings as the others do. I really want to make sure he gets some.

Right now I am doing a pinch of pellets in the morning, and chopping the frozen food cubes into 3

Spot feeding works.
Of course everyone will tell you cut back on feeding.
But more water changes can help.
Get a fleece roller, but they are difficult to retrofit
Tweak your protein skimmer.
Good luck

I second the comment above ^
But also,

Later in the video he talks about frozen food causing higher nitrates and phosphates.
He recommends Vitalis fish food. In one of his videos he said that aquariums feed their fish that.
I recently just switched to Vitalis and my fish absolutely love it. Even my fire shrimp comes out to get some which he never did with any other flakes or pellets.

I still do frozen mysis & brine cubes. I cut it into 3-4.

I don’t think you have to do frozen cubes daily. I’ve heard some people only do it 1-2x/week. But I do frozen at night and Vitalis during the day.

Thank you. I’m going to look up the Vitalis fish food. I’m not crazy about the frozen food myself as it is.
