I saw something cool last night I thought I'd share. I got home and saw a blue leg hermit hanging from my Fungia! It ended up eating it and was just fine this morning. I have no idea how it got there, I assume it was already dead? But I had no idea these corals could fit something so large in their mouth and be just fine. Thanks for looking.

A few years ago I had a little orange one gutted by a hermit, so good job pretty yellow plate, lol. A few of mine like to eat asterina stars.

Yeah I definitely think it was dead or yeah possibly a molt. Would there be any nutrition for the coral eating a molt?

Just looked this up as yesterday my pinwheel plate coral ate a small blue leg hermit crab. Not sure how it got there but it’s gone now and the coral seems happy. Wish I grabbed a picture to post.
