I was just debating whether or not to get a Great White. I have the Tiger Shark and I am very pleased with that. When I first got it it was tight moving that thing around. It has since gone through about 3 sets of pads and still works like a champ. I also have a mighty magnet. They do not look as nice as these other magnets but they are insanely powerful. A little bulkier too but very, very strong.

I have a Great White too!! I love it!!! Its a Good work out scrubbing my 240cube with it :) Best mag cleaner hands down

Not trying to be a downer here, but I have heard that these type mag cleaners (not this particular brand necessarily), the ones with the uber strong magnets, are a lot more likely to scratch a tank's glass, say for example, a 180 gallon glass tank, than a Mag Float.

I do not know if this is true or not, but if it is, I would imagine it comes from the incredible pressure it would place on a piece of substrate that could get trapped between the magnet and the inside glass, which would be a lot less on the same piece of substrate if it were caught between a Mag Float and the tank glass. I'd assume the stronger magnet could make something scratch with the greater pressure vs a weaker magnet.

Feel free to tell me I'm wrong. I'm sure the uber mag cleaners have Mag Floats beat regarding cleaning ability. I use a Mag Float for the light algae, and use safety razors in a piece of slit PVC for coralline.

I have always used Mag-floats but can no longer do so becuase my rimless now has 3/4" glass. :( Looks like ill be getting either the Great White or the next model under it. Would the great white be a bit too much for 3/4"??
