Not sure what bothers me more.... the algae or the black sand.

I never understood wanting black sand....
I actually like black sand when used in the right circumstance. I had a sea horse tank with a lot of macro algae that it looked good in. I have also used it in some of my freshwater planted tanks. I guess it looks good when you are trying to show off greens :)
