They are very aggressive eventually needing a very large tank, more for it's aggression than size or swimming habits although it is a very active fish. I had him in a 180 for 3 years from about 3.5" to about 6" with a volitan lion, dogface puffer, niger and humu triggers. I rehomed him into a 500 gallon when he became too aggressive toward my niger and humu, see I had raised them from 1". They seem to get very aggressive around 5-6". I know people keeping them in 300+ aquariums with angels and tangs with no problem. How ever you keep them, keep them in a minimally stocked tank with other aggressive fish. I say their aggression at least rivals if not surpasses the clown trigger, some say they may just be a bump below an undulated. Diet chunks of meat and anything and everything. I'm raising a baby now, got him at 1" and been hand feeding him. I hope he will turn out more tamed, I've raised clown triggers that ended up being really nice fish. My current plans are to keep him in a 125 until he around 4-5" then rehome him into a very large aquarium. You could try a 180 if you were to keep him with only 2 or 3 other aggressive fish, a 300 would be better if you wanted a more populated tank. The problem is most people can't do minimally stocked tanks.
