So I have my new 4’ 90g. I gave away my lieutenant tang that I inherited with the tank before putting him into it after moving it because he’d get too big and it’s not fair to him, let alone the tang police judge jury and executioners I’d be subjected to. But, I WOULD like to replace him after I give the relocated tank a month or so to settle for algae management and just to restock the fish. I’m between a yellow or tomini (have a blue eyed kole right now). Just was wondering experiences with each or maybe recommendation for a different one that would be happy in a 4’ 90g. Thank you!

I will say that I’ll likely go even larger within 3-5 years so theoretically I could do a bit of a larger one I could relocate later down the road

Don't buy fish for a future tank. Too many things can happen.
The following is not a recommendation. It works for me and I have other tanks if a fish needs to be moved. I'll accept my citation and pay the fine 😉

That said I keep a wild yellow and a two spot bristletooth in a 36x22x22" tank. I planned the rock work with fish in mind. They've been together coming up on two years, the yellow has been in longer. I've never seen a tail smack or chase from either. No glass surfing or tank pacing. They just cruise around all day picking at rocks. I feed well so there is no food aggression.
I've not kept a tomini
