I purchased a 220 gallon aquarium and the fx 4 cannister.
400. 00 for tank,stand and cannister.
I put water in the fx4 and it pumps then stops.
I removed the pump, and plugged it in momentarily. The impeller turns. Would anyone know if it's the impeller thats bad?

If the fx4 us like the fx6 (I've only used 6) they do that when first powered up. It is to purge air.
Yea,that was it. Thanks. I'm getting a lot of bubbles out of the nozzles. Lid is tight. Any ideas on that?

did you plug it in while removed, out of water? they are supposed to only be turned on under water.

That pump will shut off for a couple minutes every 24 hours. It's all about purging bubbles. Little disheartening when you set it up, barely started and it stops! Lol

Ok. I bought this 220 gallon because it's going hold 2 loinfish once it cycles. What size is your tank?
