Ecotech sent an e-mail this morning about the Vortech sale and G6 upgrade availability. This is one of the FAQ for the upgrade:

Just confirmed with chat support that the upgrade cluster is covered for 2 years from upgrade purchase even if the Radion is out of warranty. For example if you have a 2019 G5 and buy the upgrade, the cluster is covered for 2 years from upgrade purchase.
