Curious what everyone would.pay for a gem tang?!
I recently purchased one and haven't received it yet but I believe at 1 point in time this was a $3k fish. ??? Am I mistaken?
What would you pay for a gem tang ay?

They’ve definitely come down in price. I’ve seen them below black tang prices ($800).

Ive seen ghem in the $400’s which when a yellow tAng is 220 thats a bargain lol

Saw one for $699 at a LFS last month. 6-800 seems to be the range.

Me myself I wouldn't spend more than $500 for a fish but I have a disposable income.

There was one at MACNA 2015 (google it) they said it would sell for 3-4k.

I paid $399+ Taxes for mine. They have them regularly at that price at Rainbow aquarium and pond Right outside LA.

they were really expansive at one point and before COVID they were $250 then increased again as everything did.

Also around then petco would carry them as they were getting fairly common hence the dropping prices and you could grab them at petco prices stacked with the 20 percent coupon on saltwater fish they would run sometimes.

I think that is the first time I ever saw one. Might have been what sparked my interest because I didn't know they existed before that.
