Have some BRS 2 canister setups for carbon and gfo. The gfo sat in the canisters after the tank was down. Short of scraping is there a way to chemicaly clean the brown scum that is on the canisters?

Thanks

A good soak in 50:50 vinegar/ro water could definitely help. That'll safely dissolve a lot of deposits.
