I am working on getting some dosing going and don't want to purchase the wrong unit. Should I spend the extra money for the 2.1 doser or would the version 2 doser work fine?

I read the only difference is that the 2.1 provides a means for continuous dosing, is this something that is great to have or just a perk sometimes?

Thanks.

I have the doser2. I don't think the 2.1 is necessary unless you need to move large amounts like for water change.

I agree with Jem. The 2.1 is good if you need to run the doser for extended periods. Water changes is the best example where you may need to run a doser head continuously for more than 15 minutes. If you are using the doser for alk, cal, and mag then the 2.0 is the one you want to get.

Thank you much. I can't imagine how long it would take to do a 60 gallon water change through a 1/4 inch tube.
