I purchased a GHL doser 2.1 years back 2nd hand; it has sat as a backup since. I’ve been working thru firmware & doser3 head updates and found that this one is protected by a PIN and I can’t access via usb. I’ll be going thru their ticketing system but wanted to ask here in case its a known quick step to do a full reset.

From somewhere in their support system

"Hello,

You can bypass the PIN code by starting the GHL Control Center in GHL mode.

You can then remove it by doing a factory reset. (In theory, there is no PIN locking function on Doser SA)

See attached."

So not sure what was attached, but looks like maybe you can bypass with control center.

Thanks for the help. No dice on the suggestions and now I’m in a circle trying to find how to create a ticket. I read they are redesigning the German site so maybe that’s i. I couldn’t find anything on “GHL mode” and searching the forum didn’t yield much mainly because, even quoting the phrase doesn’t search for the words together and there are a ton of posts with “GHL” and “mode” in them.

But this is about gratitude so I thank you for chiming in to help. @BeanAnimal that patch bay is clever! Does it need to be shielded?

The “PAB” bus is a CANBUS implementation. While it will likely work in most setups with unshielded cable, shielded cables are preferred. In my case, I opted for shielding due to the lengths and number of “extra” connections. Prior, the connections were a mix of shielded and unshielded cables.

Maybe this is applicable?
