Hi all.

I’m new to having an aquarium controller. Other than the obvious what do these parameters mean?

What action do you take if they are low or high? Temp aside.

Did you get the right link?

It doesn’t really explain any of those measurements.

Plus, I’m eager to know if anyone actually DOES anything based on these? For example, my Redox was 200 a few weeks back. Now it’s near 400.

The link covers each of those probe readings with recommended ranges. Salinity is your Conduct. (S) 1 probe, ORP is redox, temp and pH are as named.

That ORP/redox reading is typical for a new probe as they "break in." T he link recommends not trying to control ORP.

What does ORP indicate very roughly? Is it the cleanliness of the water so higher is better?
