Giant Gold Flake

I ordered a show size Gold Flake from my LFS. Honestly, I thought it was going to be 4-5 inches long. This thing is 9 1/4 inches long. I didn't know they even got this big. It's eating, but I'm a little concerned about adding other angels now. Lol

I know a couple locals with a 750 and 850. I'm going to see if they want him. Very cool fish, amazing colors. Thought I would share a couple pics.

That actually did pop into my mind when I picked him up. How long do they live for? I have a friend who has had one for 7 or 8 years, but I'm sure this guy is at least that old.

Wow! Thanks for sharing....I love the Goldflakes. I knew they were a large angel, but also didn't know they grew this big!

That fish is amazing! I'd imagine that Gold Flakes can live at least 12 years in captivity if you give it a good diet and feed him regularly. There are collectors that will pay top dollar for Gold Flake that size if you were wanting a smaller one. Either way, you have a gorgeous centerpiece in your hands.
