Are these discontinued? I'd really like to purchase one but all I see are used and not the length I need.

Unfortunately yes.
Good luck finding the right size.
One of the best halide systems I've ever had.
Cebu Sun from Hamilton is the best option right now.

ugh, that sucks. I wanted to get a nice sleek fixture. I was looking at reefbrite fixture as well, seems those guys and hamilton are the only games in town anymore.

As I understand it you can still have a giesemann spectra made, you just have to contact coralvue or giesemann directly and you will pay for it. They’re just so seldom purchased they ceased distribution to retailers

@Bpb is correct. I’m in the process of having a 6’ version shipped from Germany. Paid 9/11 shipped 10/10. Should be here in the next few days or next week.

Did you pay the price listed on the coralvue website? Just curious cause I'm about to ditch my Radions. I could still sell the G4's to negate the price of the Giesemann.

They are in the EU, just not here. One of the victims of a trade war with the EU right now. There are some rumblings that they might be back when the tarriffs are done.

Looking to do the exact same thing. Ditch the radions and go MH. Spectra by far is the most sleek but Im tempted by those reefbrite combo fixtures as well.

picked mine up here on R2R for a fair price for a 48" model... keep a look out they come up for sale every now and again. i'm getting 950par about 8 inches under water and 450 par bottom of tank with 2x250W Radiums.

21", lights are 8" or so off the water. Raised them up a few inches since my PAR measurements, so current levels may be a tad lower, but the levels are so high already i'm not worried about it.

here’s the tank from a few weeks ago.

Ah, just saw your answer. You know what is REALLY killing me with LED? It is the amount of time you have to mess with them.

Everyone 8 years ago:
14k Phoenix is best!
20k Radium is best!
Love T5s!

Everyone today:

"AB+"
"Coral lab"
"14K Phoenix emulation"
"20k Radium emulation"
"don't turn it up too high or you'll burn tips"
"you need to get a par meter"
"oh you need 3 Radions to cover a 50 Gallon tank"
"btw, it really helps if you add T5 bulbs to supplement"
"WWC hangs their Radions 8 feet off their coral flats to turn up to 100% why can't you WWC?"
"Actually you will have to replace your led's after 5 years, sorry we lied about longevity"
"You're not REALLY going to save money on energy because we didn't exactly tell the whole truth about coverage and you will have to turn on your 300W heaters to compensate"
"however, we know all the above is true, but we also have an APP to control all the settings. It's SO much better than just having a timer! Talk about complexity! Progress!"

</end rant>

When I started my tank I should have just stuck with the Hamilton MH that came with my used system instead of falling for the hype.
