I have been using the Fritz stuff lately with a microfiber cloth. I like that it leaves a slickness behind that helps the magnetic cleaner slide easier. I also use it on my reading glasses.

Ah yes! We have pets, but no kids so I guess I wasn't thinking about that factor 🙃
My kids are grown and gone, but my tank is in a public office. Every kid that comes in with a parent ends up nose against the glass. I don't mind, it's why I put the tank in my office, but I get some interesting smudges.

I use ro/di water in one paper towel and another to dry with. Comes out really clean.

Super Clean the Glass and use RainX. Then just a cloth dampened with RO/DI Water. BTW, I Was told by my independent glass shop, not to use Vinegar on glass, as it etches it over time. And absolutely don’t use any Acids, on Spot Resistant Shower Doors.

Just wondering what people have found works best without multiple attempts to clean the outside of the GLASS that has salt stains on it that does not leave streaks
I use this, but I spray it on paper towels out in the garage, never near the tank.

Invisible Glass

I just bought one I am a sucker for Amazon so convenient. Half the time my hardware store does not have what I want and websites are often wrong for in stock items. The price is right Thanks

There "aquarium" glass cleaners like:

but tbh, i just use a good quality microfiber towel. Easy and its reusa

I really like this ammonia free foaming stuff. I spray directly on the glass, but try to not get overspray near the top. It seems to leave the outside of the glass pretty slick. Spray on and wipe off with a paper towel.

I've had this can for over 2 years, and I'd say it is still >80% full so it will last for years cleaning my glass once a week or so.

I've tried a few of the aquarium specific cleaners, but found them to leave streaks.

I just use Invisible Glass, which is a regular glass cleaner, and spray it directly onto a microfiber cloth. Wipe the panes, then buff with the dry side. I know some people might freak out because it's not aquarium safe, but by spraying the towel and not the glass none gets in your aquarium.

If there's lots of drips or salt buildup I'll use rodi and a microfiber first, then the glass cleaner.

Been doing this for over 5 years without issue.

Note: Don't do this for an acrylic tank, in that case get an acrylic safe cleaner, but the process would be the same.
yes someone else suggested it so bought one to try out Thanks

Thank you all for your input will try them all and see cant find the Fritz on amazon will look around Fritz wants $ 30 to ship to me $23 cheapest pretty silly for a $ 10 dollar item will look around for it. Never thought of car wax but have to practice the Crane technique

Even if I find them here The postal service is on strike........?
Yes as of two days ago. The Government funds the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation to the tune of 1.3 billion a tear and is going to add 250 mill every year. Canada post gets no money except to avoid disaster. They got no money since 1992 but this year got 1 billion, and the Government is going nuts on then demanding trims cuts but I bet management isn't suffering CBC is the Liberal Propaganda Machine always positive for them 9 Communists ) negative on Conservatives
