Glass cleaning.

Does anyone have a clue as to when it’s time for a glass cleaning? Mine is very awesome. How do I know even though my glass looks extremely clean, how do I know my glass needs cleaning? The answer is when you’re sitting here watching your fish, looking at your corals doing your daily observation, and your tank has little specs of salt like creatures on the glass. Copepods! Awesome! I’m so excited to see the number of copepods in my tank. I know that my Dino’s are under control. I know that my tank is healthy, and I know it’s time to clean my glass because they’re eating the thin layer of algae that I’m currently looking through to view my fish and corals!

I would scrape my glass every couple of days to get rid of the build up of film algae and stubborn film algae

I know it's time to clean when the water looks dirty because of the film on the glass. Unfortunately for me this is about every other day on 4 tanks. I don't scrape the back glass but leave that for the critters

I do appreciate the comments reefers. And it’s funny how each of your responses are opposite each other but the post was basically to show my excitement for copepods. Cause as you both know if there’s abundance of copepods generally that means your tank is healthy.

When it looks like your fish are floating on air! The glass and the water is clean!

My tank looks awesome except for the diatom bloom going on 8 weeks. I just added Purit and Micro Bacteria 7 and I’m doing a 2 day blackout. Any thoughts?
