Glass stained

Hi!

After 2 years of been away from the hobby I decided to start my 120g again. One problem, there was old coraline algae on the back glass and one side. After cleaning it, there was stain like on the glass. Or "in" the glass as you can remove it even with a razor blade. You can barely feel it with you finger. Is there a way to scrub or polish this away?

You say cleaning it, vinegar or muriatic acid?

I cleaned it with pure vinegar. And scrape the surface with a new razor blade

I had an old 180 that had the same issue 12gallons of vinegar later, and still looked like that...
Ended up used 4 gallons of muriatic acid (Outside) and letting it sit over-night, next day it was clean...
Can't stress how careful you need to be using muriatic acid, would not try this indoors no matter what!

Ok :) i think ill try that. Ive see also people polishing the glass with a jewelers product... dont know if this could apply here...

Cerium Oxide felt polish pad.
Works but takes a ton of man hours.
