I recently came across a tank for sale locally. Supposedly from a store closing sale. Tank is 6' long, 3' wide and 14" tall, with starphire glass on the front (not sure on the sides). Tank is rimless.

The glass appeared to be 1/2" thick. The seller said it was 3/4". We were just discussing him selling the tank in general and didn't lay a measuring tape on it so I am unsure of the thickness exactly.

I guess my question is, would 1/2" glass be enough for that tank?

1/2 seems kind of sketchy. You can find DIY aquarium glass thickness charts online and I just did a quick search and what im finding is that the glass should be 3/4 roughly for a tank of that dimension.

I thought so, I'll have to lay a measuring tape on it before purchase, if i buy it
