Gluing plastic junction box

What is the best glue to use to glue a plastic junction box to some plastic push in plugs?

They are the plugs that have a plastic clip. The problem is that the junction box is 1/4 of an inch thick so the plug is not able to clip in place

Just don't want to use the wrong type of glue and it not hold and make a mess

For the box you have in you pics pvc glue for plastic to plastic bonds. I really don't unsestand what your glueing to it though. That box is made to drill out unless it has knockouts in it.

The box is too thick for the clips of the plugs to stay in place. Because of this, the plugs push out of the hole that cut for them

What about the lid? It's thinner..

I doubt glue will hold it. It's more of a rubber compound.

I kinda made my cuts already. Wasn't expecting this to happen

A new box, maybe? Jb weld? You might be able to make the slot wider on the plug too.

Are u trying to make is so u plug it into the box? Cause that defeats the whole purpose of the box

Yea, Its a new box. I thought that jb weld may work. What I think may work is to take some clear hose and put on the back end of the plug and then zip tie that. The only thing that concerns me if that does happen to work is the amount of heat the plug has. Not sure how hot the plug gets.

I am basically making a power strip with holes in the box and the plugs sit flush to the outside of the box. Why does it defeat the purpose of the box?

Gorilla glue

Thought about Gorilla super glue, but not sure if it would hold.

The boxes are supposed to keep water out.
Maby I am just not seeing it the way u are envisioning it
So if u make it so on the outside of the box there are holes to plug into ur making the box in essence not waterproof.
Maby I'm over thinking it
But I have one of those boxes it's not hooked up yet but the plan was to run all the extension chords through a hole in the top and then on the inside that's where all the connections will be so u would have to open up the door to see everything.
Ok sorry for going off course and to answer ur question jb weld or gorilla glue I would thing would work but I don't know for sure

If the plugs get hot you have issues. Any of the glue that has been mentioned will work. If you fuse the plugs heat wont be a issue. I really think you just need to get a good glue/ weld / goop and go with it. You will be fine. The water proof thing is way over with.
