Take Zoas out of water
Frag Zoas out of water
Put glue on bottoms of Zoas
Glue Zoas directly to live rock underwater

Would putting glue on the zoa out of water and gluing it directly to the live rock underwater work?

Ive done it not just with zoas basically 60 percent of my tank i glued down like that underwater , its just a little weaker bond

What are you using for glue? I have done this with marine epoxy but I am wondering if you are using superglue?

I love epoxy just hate the fact that the skimmer goes bazerrrkkk for 2 days so wen i cut my frags i usually layer a flat disc of epoxys let it cure in ro for couple days till ready, but yes u deff need gel ive used 2lf ecotech crazyglue, u have to dry the frag first add glue then go stick in tank

It gives a littlebit of a weeker bond but good for frags deff not for colonys

I use super glue gel to do this. As the OP said, it will be a weaker bond, but the zoas will quickly attach to the rock.
