For many years, I've kept blue legged or scarlet hermits and emerald crabs in my reefs as cleanup crew, but I'm becoming concerned that they are messing with my LPS, especially after I feed the corals.

For those of you who have removed your crabs, how have you made up for them on your cleanup crew?

My current plan is to add some nassarius snails and micro brittle stars.

You could also do urchins! They make great cuc members

i only use snails since my hermits used to kill all my snails as they grew :’( go with some Nassarius, Nerite, Trochus, Astrea, Cerith, Margarite, Turbo, Conch, maybe a brittle star

I don’t like having anything with pinchers. Crabs will always go for the easy food. I love emerald crabs but they have eaten a few of my torch polyps. They will all go after the coral food when target feeding. Snails do this as well but I’ve never lost a coral from a snail. Snails and a short spine urchin are the way to go if you ask me.
