Going from QT to DT...

Looking for advise ...how would you take a little chalk bass (Chucky) whose been in QT for a while with no signs of anything negative, and put him in my 10 gal. DT which houses a tail spot blennie (Benny) and a yellow tail damsel? ...One hears that these little guys can take care of themselves, but I'm wondering if a nighttime addition or some other technique will minimize the chances of territorial
conflict...:confused:

I assume that you mean the kind of perforated box used to isolate livebearers, etc...I have one and that was my thought...if the others don't bother him...than I think we're home free...Thanks

Right on the money, I actually use a small plastic critter cage.

Duke...Chucky is in the isolation booth as we speak...the damsel seems to have some interest in him...any thoughts on when and how to put him in without him being attacked...they say that chalk bass can defend themselves??...any ideas?

Another idea would be 2 remove the damsel, add the chalk, due a minor rearrangement of a few rocks, then add damsel back after a few hours 2 a couple days.

Impossible to remove a damsel...believe me I tried before Chucky...have to remove everything to do that

Try in a 125g hahaha wanna trade catching fish lol

You could also take the top off and place a divider, I do this in my 20g qt, and have eggcrate cut for my 125g if needed to shorten. Thin plexiglass also works as you are able to bend some if needed around rocks.
