I have a gold lined rabbit fish that has been having a rough time acclimating to the new tank. He is doing better, swimming around with his normal coloration sometimes, but I have yet to see him show any interest in food.

That said, he is pooping.

I was wondering how long the digestive cycle is for a fish like this. Does this reasonably indicate that he is eating when I am not watching in the past couple days? Or could this be saved up from several days ago?

I would say that indicates he is eating, I have a huge gold rabbit, about 8 inches long and he poops shortly after I put Nori in there and he eats, funny to watch my tangs compete to eat that rabbit fish poo and since they do compete it tells me Rabbit Fish do not digest very well, so I would hazard a guess their digestive tracts are pretty short.

This is just from me watching my fish. I'm not an expert
