I bought one from the LFS and in the frag tank it was a intense orange under radions. I brought it over to my tank with Reef Breeder LEDs and it looks a tan/brown. Is it the light that is making it look like that or the health of the coral ? I've had it for about 4 months now.

Do you have a pic? I know what you mean though. We got a 4 head one from the LFS and they used LEDs too, It was bright Gold/Orange.. We put it under the T5's and you can only see the Gold color a little under atinics and then Really intense under the Lunars.. Sounds to me thats what your seeing so thats completely normal. Are you using T5's?

I would say the light if its still as healthy when you bought the torch. My lfs had some and it was tan brown under t5 and I have radions and its almost sold gold in color. It changed color just from the different lights.

the iPhone makes the picture really purple.... but here it is. Its as you say Duffam I get the intense gold under actinics and moonlights.

Kinda disappointed now... I really liked the orange/gold look under daylights. I have to agree with Wrassluver also I just didn't wanna believe it lol. I dont wanna drop the coin on Radions just for the coloration of one coral. Yall think an ATI sunpower would produce the orange/gold I am looking for ?

blah, I think I'm done with LED's.. Gonna try my hand at T5's if I can find someone to buy or trade my reefbreeder photons. Thanks for your help though!
