Guys,
I acquired couple of gonis few months back. In the past few months they have not grown at all. They dont even extend much. I've tried to keep them in various locations in the tank to get different light and flow. Nothing has helped.
Following are few details about my tank. Any suggestions appreciated.

Kh: 8.5
Ca: 410
No3: 5-7
Po4: 0.1

Mixed reef.
12 hours light including ramp up and down.
Reef energy ab+ dosing.

Goni's grow very slowly IME, and they often take a long while to acclimate to new tanks.

Personally I would raise yours into more light and flow, all the polyps are facing up, to me it kind of looks like there is no flow. IMO they like more light and flow than zoa's do.

Been going through the same thing, have had mine for 8 months they really haven't done anything and look similar to yours. Was watching a video on Parkers reef and the guy literally had wall to wall gonis in a tank, he said the secret sauce is consistently dosing manganese if your other parameters are in check. So I've bought Captiv8 Mn and diluted it and put it on a dosing pump we'll see only has been a few days so far.

found video Goni's and 43 minute mark

How long is a few months? No growth for a month or two is pretty normal as it acclimates, even if healthy. Beyond that, have you had an icp? Manganese is supposed to be important for them (at least some species).

Probably more importantly, do you feed any particulate foods? While not every particle size is good and not every goni needs it, it's been known for a while that a bunch of them really prefer to be fed with fine particulate foods - there are even some products made specifically to target this.

Blue one for 4 months and green one 10 months... Let me also try manganese..

Do you do regular water changes? What salt are you using? And how stable are those test numbers you posted?

One thing aside from all the info posted. Have you done a ICP test for the tank. Manganese is the biggest culprit to Goni's not doing good. You should do a ICP test and see what your manganese numbers are at then go from there. Many years ago many found them hard to keep. Until it was found that they rely on manganese.

I think they look pretty good for the size they are. I’ve noticed at least with mine and in the past Mature tank and leave it alone once you put it in the tank unless visible signs of stress or damage.

I purchased the pink one here in March of 26 about size of quarter closed and small lime open. Now about a lime and extended a little larger then a softball it’s encrusted over a turbo snail shell and the rock.
