Wife picked me out this Goni today for a early Father’s Day gift this was about 20 minutes in the new tank so it wasn’t fully opened but. It’s cornered in my evo 13.5 should it be okay here ? Any suggestions on securing it where it’s at so my snails aren’t pushing it around against glass or rock

My gonis are on the bottom. Medium flow. Medium light (200 par-ish). Grow like crazy.
Yeah I figured placement was fine as far as being at the bottom with med flow. I’m more curious how to “secure” it from my snails pushing it up against rock or side glass lol

I should've clarified: Bottom meaning not up in the rockwork. I glue all my gonis to rocks. They definitely are happier off the sand.
Agreed - Gonis do better when off the sand!

What about bare bottom? Wonder if I can get like a plate rock and put the Goni on it just cause I’m limited on space lol

I have made a plate if you will out of 4 frag tiles before. If the goni has a flat bottom, or chop off the post on plug with bone cutters. Can't see if yours is on a plug. Glue the frag plug to plate then glue to bare bottom.

The Goni Is arched .. so I’m not sure how it’ll stay in place on rock if I get to put it on some. Or if it’ll be okay how it is. It definitely expanded out and shown it was comfy where it was but I’m worried in its growth and extensions.
These pictures where just take. Lights are almost off.

You could fill the void with a 2part epoxy, or make some diy fit with rock rubble and super glue. Using the bone cutters to shape the rubble. Mine were all happy around 175+/- par. I've heard less is better with them couldn't go less though as they were t5's.

I’ll figure something out Maybe leave it where it’s at for now but place an egg crate cut out underneath it just for it to sit on nicely. And I’m not even running ai prime 16 over 60% but I’ve had some zoas act weird lately so i dont know
