Hello! I’m trying to ID this Goniopora. Does anyone know the name of or who is selling this particular Goniopora. This was a one off I found at a recent show and I only saw this one example out of all of the tanks I looked through that weekend. I’ve been doing this for a while and I haven’t seen a color variant like this before which is why I bought it the second I saw it.

Looks like a beautiful red goniopora, stunning actually. As far as a vendor name, who knows. Cant wait to see it as it grows👍

I thought the same thing! I figured it was a slightly discolored red and under better conditions it would get that red tone back. I figured it was sort of a gamble paying what I did if was just a regular red Goniopora. But after a few months in my system the pink got fuller and that base blue got way more vivid so it’s definitely not a typical red. The blue base is what stand out.

Jake Adams called it the candy floss. I got mine at a show from world wide coral. Mine never really showed the blue like it did in their system. It was pale for me

Do you have a photo of yours? I think it’s a type of cotton candy Goniopora. The candy floss seems much stringier than what we have here. I think you got me on the right track here though.
