I know these can be notoriously hit and miss with regards to lighting and placement.

I got a small green goni in amongst some other bits I picked up from a tank breakdown about 5 days ago

I have allowed it to settle as much as possible aside from my fat bum halloween hermit using it as a chair occasionally!

How long roughly would you wait for the polyps to start extending before reconsidering placement please?

At present it is on the sandbed and has moderate flow. The polyps are slightly extending in this position but not for the entire day xx

I would say after a few days you should see a response. Try feeding it though before you do anything.

I keep mine mid tank, but depends on your lighting and how high you run yours.

I had a problem with a small one once and it wouldn't extend due to a water chemistry issue. I fixed the issue almost immediately, but it wouldn't extend and over a period of a week went rapidly downhill. I only managed to recover it by feeding daily.

Now I feed it once or twice a week and it's thriving.
