I have a nice red/pink goni frag I've had in my tank for about 4 months now that was doing great, until my cuc started knocking it repetitively off its spot and down onto the sand. After a couple weeks of putting it back where it had previously flourished it stopped extending and opening up. I've moved it to a different spot thinking maybe it was just ticked off and the flow was bothering it, but it has been a couple weeks now and it still hasn't extended out. It doesn't seem dead, still plenty of color in the skeleton, it just doesn't extend. Any thoughts on this?

Phosphate?
When they get ticked off it can be a long wait for them to settle back in and extend again. Getting knocked down to the sand may cause some bruising too, which they will not appreciate.

For me they will do this when nutrients are low if nothing else has changed. You could try putting into a container with some aminos or other liquid food a few times a week for 20-30 minutes and see if that helps it start extending again.
