Gonna be buying a new heater soon. But I’m looking for recommendations on heaters that are comparable with the apex that are also small. I have a 20g IM Nuvo tank so I’m sort of limited to the amount of space for the heater. I’d love to hear your experience with your recommendation aswell.

Many of use use eheim jaegers, controlled by apex or other top level controller. Set the eheim a couple of degrees above the apex so it will shut off if the apex does not for some reason.

I use eheim hooked up to an InkBird controller which then plugs in to my apex and it works good. The eheim are very long in size I find, I’m looking at upgrading to a set of Finnex titanium heaters

I like this set up. Lots of redundancy to catch a problem. And the Titanium is the a good bet, I’ve accidentally cracked a couple cheap heaters over the years.
All heaters will be controlled with apex to at least turn on and off and keep a temperature range.
