Gorgonian came off plug, how to attach again??

Woke up this morning to my new (3 week old) gorgonian frag off its plug. It has been opening nicely and seemed happy where it was. How do I reattach it? If it came off does that mean it wasn't happy? I had it on the highest rock in direct/string flow. Video is a day or two after I got it, it had been opening its polyps and looking really fluffy.

Scrap off 1/2” off the bottom to expose the rigid skeleton and use crazy glue to secure back on.

You can also add some two part epoxy for added strength and this helps to keep it upright.

Do you think the flow was too much for it? Also if I do 1/2" that's going to be 1/4 of the frag, can I just do a few mm's?

The flow is fine IMO, the plug is clean and it looks like a fresh cut frag, it was probably not well attached to begin with.

I've always been too afraid to "strip its flesh", so I just wedge gorgs between 2 rocks, it will attach itself to the rocks eventually.

Yup, it’s a tiny one.
Or, Two part Expoxy, use you fingers to make a little dimple, push the bottom into the Epoxy making a small hold from top to bottom, then remove.

Then superglue the dimple to the plug, and some superglue in the hole you pre-made and stick the gorg into the hole.

These corals LOVE flow, but he’s a small guy now so he should wave slowly.

Ok I made him a little holder and put the tapered part in with a little glue and moved him around the rock a little so he's not getting quite so blasted lol

Tons of species of gorgonians, so much varied.
Months before potential branching with a growth rate in the 1”- 3” per year rate. Deeper water ones of course, slower. Loves white light, great flow and marine snow.

The one in the picture above was 4 branches, each say 4” and is now quadrupled its branches and is 8” but has been in the same spot for 6 years.

Is a super resilient coral.

Mine was sold as a rusty gorgonian. I hope one day it'll be pretty like yours! I keep my white lights fairly up because I don't like the rave look
