very cool, do you plan on picking up any extension lens to get something greater than a 1:1 ratio? looks like you're already getting close enough pics though lol. kepe the pics coming!

At this point, I'm just going to stick with the lens, no extension tubes. I'll be sleeping on the couch as it is if my wife finds out I bought the lens, lol. I've gotta space these purchases out to stay under the radar

Your pictures look great! I have this same lens and I love it. Try turning down your ISO your images are a bit grainy. You'll have to do a bit longer exposure but this is fine if you have a nice tripod and the flow is off.

Unfortunately, I don't have a great tripod, but I'll try turning the ISO down. I think most of these were shot with ISO @ 400.

400 is a good number in my opinion, on some of them it looked way higher.

I probably just got overeager with the cropping. There were a couple shot at 800 when they were in lower light, but I'm 99% sure that most of them were 400 or lower

That the same lens I used. Not a bad macro lens for the price as compare to the other on the market. I had it for 5 years and its still providing good pic for me.. I would like to try the newer model from Nikons but for 900+, i'll pass.. haha.

Great pics. As soon as I saw them, I ran over to ebay to see if I could find a steal. I've been considering this lens for months!

Keep your eye out! There were three of them that sold for under $350 on ebay when I was looking at them.

Thanks for the compliments everyone!
Great looking pic's! Isn't that unnamed Chalice a Hollywood Stunner?
Not a hollywood stunner, I've got a frag of that and that has a blueish base. Not sure what it is...it was a $10 frag, but one of the few chalices that has done well in my tank. I don't know what it is... I get good coloration & growth on SPS, most LPS, and polyps, but since I moved to the 180 I can't keep acans and chalices happy no matter what I do. I think it has to do with lighting more than anything else because they do fine in my frag tank with less lighting that's plumbed to a common sump.
