I wanted to give Affordable Aquaria / Dr. Reef a shoutout after my first order with them.
I ordered a pink streaked wrasse and unfortunately it didn’t make it through acclimation. I emailed them mostly just to see if there was anything they could do, not really expecting much. I honestly figured it would be like a lot of online fish orders where you kind of just have to take the loss.
Instead, they offered to ship me another one at no cost.
When they sent the replacement, they actually sent two wrasses just in case one didn’t survive shipping. They also doubled the amount of water in the bag as an extra precaution, even though the first shipment already had enough water. When the package arrived yesterday, one of the wrasses was dead, but the other one was alive. I temp acclimated him and put him right into the tank, and he’s already eating LRS that I target fed him. So far he’s looking really promising.
The whole Affordable Aquaria team was helpful, generous, and easy to deal with from start to finish. They went above and beyond to get me a fish I had honestly given up hope on.
Hands down the best customer service I’ve had buying fish online in 15 years of doing so. I like getting the fish I ordered so I'll continue to buy them all from affordable aquaria!
