Put these Snap in Plastic Grommets on some old Filter Socks, as an Experiment to give the Pods a way out of the Socks, seems to be working well. Yes, I know that all the water isn’t being filtered, but my Filter Socks, still load up at the same rate. IMO Aquariums are overfed and then over filtered to make up for this.

Hmm, maybe I do need one, to direct them into the Fuge, rather than into the Skimmer. Which just happens to be in the same Sump Compartment.

I've set my socks up to allow some water to bypass for years for this reason and as a way to prevent the ATO from going hog wild if the sock decides to get loaded up too much in the middle of the night. I HIGHLY recommend doing this if you run kalk via your ATO.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
