LOL TOP SECRET! :P Well there is a youtube video "The ULTIMATE Aquascape" on youtube. But other then that, it's usually consist of bending the acrylic in the oven at 250 degrees. and bend away.

LOL thanks buddy! It was a lot of work but all worth it! :) Once I get the calcium reactor going then I think everything will be perfect. Just gonna scrap off from Coraline algae from a friends tank into my system and the rocks should be covered in a matter of a few months.

That has to be one if the sickest rocks I ever seen in an aquarium-that's gona look awesome loaded down with SPS

Plumbing

Alright fans! First off I wanted to thank everyone for following along with this build. So recently I decided to do the plumbing on this tank even though some of the parts are not in. In the plumbing I have a Spears Gate Valve which I ordered from Bulk Reef Supply which I am waiting for. The return 3/4" tube will only go as far as you see there. I'm going to put a rubber silicone after that to the pump so I can reduce as much as noise and vibrations as I can.

I also took advantage of as many unions I could of. The 1.5" drain currently has 4 unions but after everything will be done with the gate valve I should be at 5 or 6. Enjoy the build, I will update more as I get equipment and everything else.

you are 100% right! Unions may not always be used but when you do use it, man oh man does it make life easy. By the time corals get in here I think this build and showcase should be world wide spread! :P

Rock Cycle

Alright everyone. Water is finally in!!! :) well not all the way. :( ... any who... This is a step I believe a lot of reefers miss out. I'm in the process of cycling the rocks before I actually start the full setup. It is very important to cycle any type of dry rock or custom cement aquascape like mine. The reason for this is that dry rock and especially cemented rock will leach a lot of phosphates and have a pH swing up to 9.5 +. My theory is why should I have my live stock suffer for something I could of prevented.

This is the third day of my cycle. I've had my phosphates at 2.0ppm and pH of 10. This is why cycling is mandatory in any reef tank setup. What I will do is every time I see my pH or phosphates rise after a 100% water change, I will change the water, again and again and AGAIN! Gezz it never ends but this is the proper method.

Once I have my pH at close to average and phosphates close to 0ppm, I will then do a saltwater cycle. Again this saltwater cycle is just to allow more junk from the rocks/cement to release. Curing rocks with RO/DI water is good but curing rocks with saltwater you will find way more chemicals release due to the salt content.

This process should last anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks to 2 months. It will be a long wait but a very worth while adventure. I put too much work and money into this setup. The only thing I can do now is to follow nature and some of the natural process mother nature created.

Worlds first white silicone aquarium

So because I wanted to go beyond and get this new SPS build to be one of a kind project. I had the tank siliconed with not clear? or Black, but instead WHITE! :) The outcome is beyond luxury with the white background itself. White silicone does and might product some type of algae growth on the inside parts of the silicone but that is the least of my concern. In this tank there is no inside rounded bead of silicone. Only on the in-between the edge of the glass. So that takes away most of my worries.

I researched on google looking on forum and other post on white background and white silicone and found NOTHING! no one has dared to try it. but Let me be the first ginny pig with this project. So far with the aquascape and sump section done, it's really coming out amazing. Stay tuned for more pictures when everything added to it.
