during the day it gets brownish and at night when the moons come on it gets really green its growing and its healthy but why does it looses its green on regular lighting schedule.
 
What you are seeing is the zooanthelle population
 
Using LEDS? I am guessing it's spectrum/type of lighting your using. The coral is not changing colors your fixture is.

What he said :-) All of your corals will look better under the 20K moonlighting.
