Hey everyone my tanks been running a couple of years I plan on transferring my rock work to bigger set up I have a little green hair algae on the rocks. Now if I give my rocks a peroxide bath to get rid of algae would I lose the beneficial bacteria on the rocks?

Would be a good time to pull off as much as you can by hand and scrub the rest with a firm toothbrush and some 3% hydrogen peroxide.
Return to tank, reduce white light intensity and number of hours of white lighting and add some snails such as :
Astrea
cerith
turbo grazer
trochus

A Pencil urchin

8-10 Caribbean blue leg hermits

Are you using RODI water or tap water from the faucet ?
What is your phosphate level?
Is tank at or near a window?

There is a dip protocol for corals vs 3% peroxide to saltwater mix. To reduce gha. Ive used it at 20% peroxide for 10 minutes, corals not hurt.
Id try that.
