Hi there,
My tank is 4 months old and I’m having a bad algae break out. Is this green hair algae? Thank you!

Your photos are blurry. Turn up the lights and hold your camera steady. It might help to steady it against the glass.
If it is GHA it’s normal. Turn the lights off

I don't see any powerheads in the tank, flow helps against algae.

What are the nitrate and phosphate levels? They will need to be controlled. Do water changes and scrub the rocks with toothbrush at every water change. Increase the clean up crew, I see none.

^^Yes yes. Agreed. You'll want to get a handle on these things to keep it at bay. Don't want to mislead that lights off will fix this long term...just help with removal by weakening it..

Also, to get a good picture of the algae, try to use white light. If your lights don't have separate white/blue channels, you can use a flashlight on one spot, preferably a brighter one than the flash on your phone.

Looks more like what is known as Cotton candy algae but cotton candy usually pink but this may be a die off of this algae. Removal is similar to green hair algae in which best approach is to place it in a container of tank water and pull off as much as you can by hand and scrub the rest with a firm toothbrush and some 3% hydrogen peroxide.
Return to tank, reduce white light intensity and number of hours of white lighting and add some snails such as :
Astrea
cerith
turbo grazer
trochus

A Pencil urchin

8-10 Caribbean blue leg hermits

Are you using RODI water or tap water from the faucet ?
What is your phosphate level?
