I have a rock that all of a sudden I have green hair algae. I was going to take the rock out but I have a coral on it. The coral is covered with red stuff. I'm a afraid to break the coral. To get it off the rock. All I wanted to do is scrub the algae off. Any ideals what I could do. Thanks in advance...

I had the same issue. My LFS told me to use water from the tank & a toothbrush to soak while cleaning it. Is the red stuff like a really deep color, almost blackish?

You could try peroxide in a syringe so you can apply if directly to the green hair algae. Just make sure you use the correct dose

If you use peroxide make sure it is 12% percent Food Grade Peroxide or else it won’t do anything at all. Also don’t drop any of this on your skin or it will do damage. It will burn your skin really bad. That should get rid of it but use a media reactor with some High Capacity GFO and dose Vibrant.
