Green Sinularia Help - black tips

The tips on my new green sinularia are turning black. What should I do? Do I cut them off?

I would cut it off but most importantly find out what happened and correct it. The whole thing is wasting away, even the healthier parts look sickly.

Mine would get these “scabs” periodically if it was touched by nem or got injured. I would siphon those bits off and it would return to normal in a few weeks.
