Green Star Polyp Dying.

Hi my fellow Reefers.
I’m looking for some help into what is causing my GSP to die.
I put in the tank around Oct 2024 and it started to take over the rock like I wanted it too. About last month I noticed it wasn’t really spreading much. And last week i saw that parts of it was missing off the rock and today part of the frag plug are dying.

Looking for help into what would be causing it to by dying off.

Here are the water parameters.
Apex Trident
ALK 10.1
CAL 498 Hanna tester 427
MG 1369
PH 8.06
Temp 77
Nitrate 13.4
Phosphate 0.0
I installed a trident about 2 months ago and it’s always had a high calcium level. Tested with a Hanna this morning and got 427.
Maybe the low calcium levels is the problem but none of my other corals are having and issues.

Not to pile on, but zero phosphate may be of some concern :)

I think so. There’s a MP 10 blowing across it.
I’m not sure how much flow it needs

I think it is. That tank is a 32 gal flual flex with a Gen 5 XR30. The rock isn’t on is in the middle of tank and is half way up in the water.
I did up the light intensity a few weeks ago.
Could that be my issue?

I agree. I was surprised this morning when I did a water test as saw that. Because it’s been around 0.03- 0.07.
I added some Nitophos to bring it up.

Well, now I'm thinking it may be too much! How far down are your GSPs? The range of PAR is pretty wide with them. Do you have an estimate of PAR level where their at? Perhaps other corals thriving in the same spot? I mean, your parameters are good. So to me, it's either flow (as stated above) or lights. Do you have any LPS next to it? Maybe one species is warring with another (.....coral these days)?
