If its bothering the coral you can scrape off...but no they're good filter feeders.

The GSP what I have is not common in my city here in UAE-Dubai. So don't wanna get rid of it.

I have it on mine and some zoes. After a while it won't let the zoes fully open. I scrape it out and they open back up and are happy. Then a month goes by and I have to repeat the process all over. I can't get it all off since it's behind and under the rock and I can't reach it. Is it harmful? I think it's more annoying to me and the zoes then anything

Sponges filter lots of bad things out of the water, and are generally highly desirable. Some of us go out of our way to grow them. They are basically miniature protein skimmers. If they annoy a desirable animal, you can scrape them away, but I wouldn't go on a killing spree, they are generally good stuff.
