Just a weird little thing I've noticed,

Whenever I see a picture of a Green Star polyp that is fully retracted, it's a dark purple color, mine however is a light pink. Just wondering of anyone knows why that is?

Mine looked more pink when I just got it. Wonder if nitrates play a part in the color? I do keep them a little bit high.

There are about 5-6 varieties of GSP available.
Some have long tentacles, some are shorter and some have a huge center dot. Most have a tiny center dot.

Some have the beautiful dark purple base and some range to almost pale tan.
Our light green long tentacle GSP has the (ugly) pale tan base.
Our regular short tentacle slightly darker green with a tiny center dot has the pretty dark purple base.
Corky finger, the vertical 'stick' Briareum, has a purple base with tanish purple polyps.
