led upgraded lighting - center front is the led position

3 year old frag that it now huge looks to be avoiding the return line? reaching for more light? both? the trunk is attached to rock at back of tank and is like 9inch long now and 2 inchish diameter.

kind of getting in the way - blocking light. it used to have a larger spread and filled the space to left of it for year or so.

any ideas what it wants?

It looks like all of it's needs are being met right now IMO. The angle it's on is most likely due to the return. If you want to thin it out so to say you could use some sharp scissors and cut the stem about halfway up. You'll have this little stump that will look kind of weird for awhile, but given time & the proper conditions it will grow back. The top part can either be traded in at the LFS, sold to a fellow hobbyist or just cut into frags. GL.
