Years back I bought a tiny tiny frag for a £. I put it in the tank, it dropped into a very small hole in a rock, never to appear again I thought. 2 or 3 years on the tank was full of tree coral. Every time I put hands in the tank a branch would come off, inflate itself it seemed, get stuck somewhere and start all over. All that tree coral gave me undetectable NO3 and PO4. Only problem was I should have thinned it out occasionally to give other stuff room to grow.
